Airy and weightless in appearance, BASTIA seems to float – a near-invisible base lifts the form just off the surface so a fine line of light is suggested beneath. The planter’s profile tapers gently to a level rim, and its terracotta surface is softly brushed for a fine tactile grain. Developed with a dense clay body, the planters in the collection are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. In a considered palette of matte finishes, BASTIA, designed by visual artist Paul Odekerken, delivers an illusion of lightness.
